"Shadows of Dawn" tells the fictional story of the girl Dawn. Dawn is a talented little girl with a brilliant mind who, over the course of her life, has to struggle more and more with the shadows of everydays life and dreams destroyed by external circumstances.The idea for the song came about during the Corona Pandemic, which hit and still hits children and young people in particular.
Learning problems, depressions, loneliness and despair, psychoses such as eating disorders or a lack of social skills are spreading and casting a shadow over our children and society, making us vulnerable to fake news and increasing hatred of everything around us.
As is so often the case, children from poorer families are hit particularly hard: children of single parents, from families with a migration background, those who live in cramped living conditions or have parents with psychological problems.
In the song, however, Dawn manages to escape the shadows and find new hope. So she gets up and takes her destiny into her own hands. We hope that such examples will also become more common in real life and that the next generation will brilliantly take the necessary steps.

M-Opus’s new album certainly does a good job at channeling 1972. Much of the album does sound like it could be some long-lost release from that year, but other parts are more spiritually 1972. This willingness to innovate, rather than slavishly adhering to 50-year-old sounds, is a great strength for this band. Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music.
